World Travel – Mexico (Quintana Roo) 2005 – Part III

One more major stop on this trip report, this time we make port at Cozumel then ferry over to the mainland and take a bus south to visit the Tulum Mayan Ruin. This is a huge place along the coastline with wonderful views of the Caribbean Sea.

After this we spend a day at sea and then return to Galveston, TX and fly home from there.

World Travel – Cayman Islands 2005

Our next stop is Grand Cayman of the Cayman Islands. Here we visited a Rum Factory where we tasted the local brew and picked up some cakes that had a kick. We also traveled up the coastline to visit HELL and the Turtle Farm. The Turtle Farm was in its rebuild from a massive hurricane that nearly wiped this section of the island of the planet.

World Travel – Mexico (Quintana Roo) 2005 – Part II

We move on to our next site, the Kohunlich Mayan Ruin. Like the main ruins in this area, this one was not discovered until 1967. This place is famous for the Pyramid of the Masks with some buildings built before 500 A.D.
