2011: September Outing – Part 3

Today’s plan is hiking in Mueller State Park which also contains Midland Terminal Railroad history.

We will head south on Highway 67 to CO Hwy 64 following the Colorado Midland Route and photograph one of the remains of an old trestle.

We will then head up to the old American Eagles Gold Mine as well as stop at the modern Cripple Creek and Victor Gold Mine.

    Very cool- reminds me of the mines at Tonopah

      I had to look up where Tonopah was and WOW, that is a truly interesting looking area from a geological point of view that we might have to check out some day when we are in that area
